My Inconsistent Text Bubbles

23rd Aug 2016, 9:00 PM

I'm really struggling with text bubbles. When I was hand drawing the comics, I could at least write the words in before hand and then erase them later. Although my art program does allow me to do this too, it's way too frustrating to get it to work properly. Maybe I should switch art programs. It also doesn't have the font I like to use in my comic.

I guess I could just change the font...

I just don't  like how it makes for really inconsistent text sizes in the bubbles and how much the dialogue sometimes changes because of the bubbles. Maybe I should keep experimenting? Upgrade my technology?

I'm just thinking out loud right now, but I do appologize to my readers if the inconsistent text annoys you. I'm working hard on changing this. I realize that I draw stick figures, but I'm working on another comic with a different art style and would really like to work on this.

My goal for the rest of the year: Make my text boxes close enough in size that I don't have to make tons of changes to my dialogue.

Sorry for the short rant guys. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. I just didn't want this to end up in an Author's note.
