So, does this mean that technically Mortimer and Lou were both right? I dunno and I don't think Mortimer really cares because he solved the mystery.

On a side note I got a Twitter account under this name. Do many authors/readers tweet? I might just check the forums...

He should've at least written a note to explain! or done all this through email?? Sending flowers in an email is much less impressive than real flowers though.
